Conditions

The following list is the conditions that can affect your character and the actions you can take.

  • Crouched: When crouched you get a +5 to stealth and ranged attack checks, but you can only move at half your movement speed, rounded down.
  • Prone: When prone you get a +10 to stealth and ranged attack checks but you can only move one tile with a movement action.
  • Restrained: When restrained you can’t use any skills or make an attack. You can try to make a strength or dexterity check to break free of the restraint.
  • Focused: Your GM can grant you the focused condition. When focused all skills that use communication, intelligence and perception gain a +2 bonus.
  • Energized: Your GM can grant you the energized condition. When energized all skills that use constitution, dexterity, strength and willpower gain a +5 bonus. Upon choosing to use this bonus, you lose the energized condition.
  • Blinded: When blinded you can’t make any ranged attacks or use the following skills:
    • Acrobatics
    • Driving
    • Firearms (all)
    • Navigation
    • Piloting
  • Deafened: When deafened you gain a -5 to observation skill checks, but a +10 to Investigation skill checks.
  • Exhausted: When exhausted all skills that use constitution, dexterity, strength and willpower gain a -3 disadvantage.
  • Helpless: When helpless you can’t take any actions.
  • Dying: When you reach 0 hit points, you are dying. Your allies have three rounds to successfully use the medicine skill to stabilize your wounds. If they fail, your character dies. While dying you are also helpless.
